Today is September 11th and we are in a time of remembrance in two superpowers of the world
The United States is in remembrance and the United Kingdom is in remembrance For those in the UK, their longest reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, died on September 8th. She reigned as queen for 70 years and died when she was 96 when she died Along with the mourning of her death, there comes a lot of changes. There is a new king; people get new titles because of this. Their currency will change with the new king This was really sad news, and it came as a shock to me whenever I first heard about it. Of course, it isn’t as big of something in my country (US) as England or any other country that is under them (i.e., Canada (totally didn’t have a brain fart on other countries…)) For those in the US, this is a day of remembrance for 9/11. Whenever terrorists took control of two airplanes and ran into the twin towers I wasn’t alive whenever this happened, but it was a big enough event where they talk about it to this day. We learn about it in our history classes. This was the steppingstone to stricter air security. Yes, it’s annoying to have to go through, but it’s only so that something like 9/11 can happen again This is a time of remembrance. A time where the world changes
